New digg comment system

Here is a video of the new comment system... coming soon.

Cool video posted by Kevin Rose about Digg's new (coming soon) commenting feature. It's a cool AJAX funciton with a good (much needed) rating system. Too frequently do people make horrible posts or are simply jerks and this will help people viewing not have to see those people's rants.

Using the Widget!

Well, I'm checking out the new Google Widget for Blogger. They released it a few days ago. It's not common for Google to release software for the Mac. They release a lot of trial stuff for Windows, but it's kinda nice to see stuff coming out for Apple's hardware! Google Earth is out and a few new widgets were just released! I'm pumped...oh yeah, this is a test to see how it works.

Italic Bold - Looks like they work here!

Ads Work!

Okay, so I wasn't thinking things through. The reason I wasn't seeing ads is because I was using Firefox and it was blocking them! Okay, so everything is in order.

One sad thing though, when using Safari I don't get the full text editor. I can't change the font size, bold, make links. It's weak. Safari is the most compatible browser out there. It is the only browser that can pass the Acid 2 test. Sigh.

Anyways, check out DPreview.com for some good coverage of the PMA show (it's a photography thing.) Canon updated some of their cameras last week and DPReview will post some cool photos and preview of those cameras...including the 30D! Thankfully they didn't make any huge changes in their pro line.

Getting off the ground

So, I tinkered with AdSense and have been trying to figure it out. I'm not sure if I want to move my blog to this space. I like the web internface, but with the unreliable, very slow internet access that I get at USD it's kind of a hassle. Even simple pages take a while to load. It's a bummer.

Anyways, stick with me while I get things going and enjoy watching the site take shape.
