Whoa! That is a surprise. It's almost sad. I know a lot of us, especially in the midwest, grew up with Gateway 2000s and Gateways as our first PCs. The good ole' Windows 3.1.1, 95, 98 days. Ah, the memories...
"Gateway on Friday revealed that it will formally quit direct-order sales of PCs and other products and offer its lineup only in retail stores. The surprise move ends the business that underpinned Gateway's early success in the 1980s and 1990s but is described as bringing the American company's approach in line with that of its parent company Acer, which took over Gateway last year and itself offers computers only through resellers"

The subjects were put on video, asked about their Vista impressions, and then shown a "new" operating system, code-named Mojave. More than 90 percent gave positive feedback on what they saw. You've got to be kidding! This should be illegal. What a rip-off. I've previously posted about how cell companies purposely charge people more for the features they use, simply because they use them and they can bleed their customers through these features...why is the better business bureau not helping us?!
